Construction Management

Clarity and coordination at every stage

Keep complex projects moving with structured oversight. FCC works alongside owners and consultants to coordinate scope, costs, schedules, procurement and construction activity, with an approach tailored to the project and agreed delivery arrangement.

How FCC helps you

You stay informed about progress, upcoming decisions and potential constraints. We help organize the information and people needed to make timely decisions, manage competing priorities and maintain continuity from planning through completion.

A good fit for: Owners who want active involvement with experienced support coordinating a multi-party construction project.

Scope of service

What construction management can include

Make informed decisions with a clearer view of scope, cost, schedule and site progress.

01

Project planning, responsibilities and reporting structure

We establish responsibilities, communication channels and the decisions required from each participant. Reporting is structured around information the owner needs to understand progress and act on constraints.

02

Construction budgets, cost tracking and change coordination

We help organize budgets, commitments, proposed changes and forecast considerations. Keeping these items visible supports more informed decisions as the scope and site conditions develop.

03

Trade sequencing, procurement planning and schedule updates

We connect trade activities to the overall programme and identify procurement dependencies. Schedule reviews focus on upcoming constraints, required decisions and realistic sequencing.

04

Consultant meetings, site coordination and issue resolution

We coordinate meetings, consultant queries and site issues, assigning follow-up to the appropriate parties. This helps reduce gaps between owner decisions, design information and trade execution.

05

Quality reviews, milestone tracking and closeout planning

We track key milestones and coordinate quality reviews and closeout requirements. Deficiencies, documentation and turnover activities are considered before the final stages of construction.

Working with FCC

A clear process, from first conversation to next steps.

01 /

Set the delivery framework

Confirm the owner’s objectives, contract structure, decision authority and the roles of consultants, trade contractors and FCC.

02 /

Establish the baseline

Develop a coordinated view of scope, budget, procurement and schedule. Identify assumptions and information that still needs confirmation.

03 /

Manage and report

Coordinate construction activity, update key issues and changes, and give the owner visibility into progress and upcoming decisions.

04 /

Complete the transition

Coordinate final reviews, outstanding work and agreed documentation so responsibilities remain clear through handover.

Your questions, answered

Plan with more confidence.

How does construction management differ from general contracting?

Construction management emphasizes coordinated oversight and owner visibility. Contracting arrangements vary: trade contracts and construction risk may sit with different parties depending on the model. These responsibilities must be agreed at the outset.

Can FCC join while the design is still developing?

Yes. Early involvement can help align design decisions with procurement, cost and sequencing. We can define an initial planning scope before construction responsibilities are finalized.

What information will the owner receive?

Reporting can cover progress, schedule milestones, outstanding decisions, procurement and changes. The format and frequency are agreed to suit the project rather than assumed to be identical for every assignment.
