GENERAL CONTRACTING
Proven Execution, Seamless Delivery.
We are trusted by industry-leading commercial clients across the GTA for our reliable, on-time, and on-budget general contracting services. From initial mobilization to final handover, we manage every element of your build with precision and accountability.
What we deliver.
General Contracting
Turn a coordinated set of plans into a well-built commercial or institutional space. FCC manages the construction process, bringing site teams, trade partners, suppliers and consultants together around your scope, schedule and quality requirements.
You gain a clear point of responsibility for the build, regular visibility into progress, and practical support when site conditions or design decisions need attention. We help connect the details on the drawings with the realities of construction.
Scope of service
What general contracting can include
A construction partner who connects the plans, the people and the work on site.
Site preparation, mobilization and construction logistics
We establish access, staging, deliveries, temporary services and work areas around the constraints of your property. A practical mobilization plan gives trades a clear starting point and helps protect neighbouring operations.
Trade procurement, scheduling and day-to-day site coordination
We break the work into coordinated trade packages, review scope boundaries and sequence activities around dependencies. Procurement planning identifies materials and equipment that need decisions before they affect site progress.
Structural, envelope, mechanical and electrical coordination
We coordinate interfaces between the structure, exterior enclosure and building services. Drawing questions, site conditions and consultant responses are tracked so work can proceed with the right information.
Interior finishes, quality reviews and deficiency management
We review workmanship as construction progresses and coordinate finishes against approved selections. Issues are recorded and assigned for follow-up rather than left to accumulate at the end of the project.
Final inspections, closeout documentation and handover coordination
We organize the final stages of construction, including applicable inspections, deficiency reviews and the agreed handover information. Closeout planning helps the owner understand what remains and who is responsible.
Working with FCC
A clear process, from first conversation to next steps.
Define the build
Review drawings, specifications, site information, exclusions and owner-supplied items. Agree the construction scope and the information needed to price it.
Plan and procure
Develop the construction sequence, confirm trade responsibilities and identify long-lead purchases. Establish communication and change-review procedures.
Coordinate construction
Manage day-to-day site activity, coordinate consultant questions and review progress against upcoming milestones. Document changes before the affected work proceeds where practicable.
Review and hand over
Complete inspections and deficiency follow-up, collect agreed closeout documents and coordinate the transition to the owner’s operating team.
Your questions, answered
Plan with more confidence.
When should we involve FCC?
Once your project is taking shape. If drawings are ready, we can review the construction scope. If key decisions remain open, our pre-construction service can help prepare the project for pricing and delivery.
Can FCC work with our architect and engineers?
Yes. We coordinate construction with the appointed design team, raising questions and reviewing interfaces between drawings and site conditions. Design approvals remain with the responsible consultants.
What affects the construction price?
Project size, design completeness, site access, ground conditions, building systems, finish selections and phasing all influence cost. We clarify assumptions, allowances and exclusions so pricing can be compared meaningfully.
